Police ID suspects in wallet theft
Marquette City Police have identified two people involved in a wallet theft at the Wild Rover bar from last Tuesday.
The suspects’ identity was made shortly after the police department posted surveillance video on its Facebook page and releasing it to media outlets on Friday.
The video shows a man setting his wallet at the bar and sitting down to put on his winter gear. A female suspect walked up to the bar with a male suspect and stole the wallet.
After posting the video on Facebook, the police say the posting received over 6,000 views in the first 24 hours. The department is thankful to the individuals who responded to the post and provided information regarding the incident.
The investigation is still ongoing.
