High wind warning on Mackinac Bridge

Due to strong winds in the Straits area, there is a high wind warning for motorists preparing to cross the Mackinac Bridge.

Vehicles that are especially vulnerable to high winds are pickup trucks with campers, motor homes, cars pulling trailers and semi-trucks.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority is instructing drivers to reduce their speed to a maximum 20 miles per hour, turn on their four way flashers and use the outside lane.  They are also asking drivers to use caution.
