Early Christmas at Medical Care Facility

Christmas has arrived in western Marquette County a couple of days early.

It may have been snowy outside, but there was a warm feeling inside the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming this afternoon.

All 140 residents received Christmas presents.

Santa made a special visit to spread a little Christmas cheer, and old Saint Nick stayed busy.

Ray and Dan Adamini provided some yuletide entertainment.

Dan Adamini says the two of them have sang and played together for the elderly residents since 1989, and Ray had been playing there solo for some time prior to that.

Dan says it’s very touching for him to watch and listen as the residents, some of whom may not speak much, sing along with the Christmas carols they play.

Medical Care Facility staff hold the Christmas party every year to help residents feel at home.

Volunteers and staff donated all of the presents.
