New Store Coming to Negaunee
The US–41 corridor in Negaunee saw some expansion earlier this year when Dollar General built a new store from the ground up and moved in.
Now there’s more expansion taking place.
The country’s third-largest auto parts chain has never had a store in the central U.P., but it will have one soon.
O’Reilly Auto Parts is moving in right across the street from Dollar General, where the Vista Theater Thrift Shop once was.
The Negaunee store isn’t the first one in the U.P. for the company; it already has one in Ironwood.
But O’Reilly director of external reporting and investor relations Mark Merz says Negaunee is part of an aggressive expansion plan.
He says the company had a goal of adding 180 new stores this year and is aiming for 190 new ones in 2013.
The Negaunee store is opening on Saturday, January 5th, and it should have a grand opening celebration sometime in early February.
O’Reilly Auto Parts is based in Springfield, Missouri.
