NMU Update on Jamrich Hall
Northern Michigan University’s plans for a more functional and flexible Jamrich Hall building are starting to come together.
Structural, electrical and other designs have been submitted today, and the school’s Board of Trustees received an update on the progress of the project.
Construction on the new Jamrich Hall is due to begin in the spring.
The existing Jamrich Hall, and Gries Hall, will be demolished once the new Jamrich building is completed.
The trustees also approved a new labor contract for NMU’s Technical and Office Professional Staff union, or TOPS.
It also approved an amendment to the labor contract for food service, maintenance and police employees.
Michigan Tech’s Board of Control also met today and approved a $310 increase in room and board for next fall.
