Marquette, Mich.—Fifteen United States Olympic Education Center Greco-Roman wrestlers earned top 10 status in Thursday’s (Nov. 29) national senior rankings by TheMat.com, the official website of USA Wrestling. The rankings feature 10 athletes in each of the seven World Championship weight classes.
Max Nowry, Wheeling, Ill., received a No. 2 rank in the 55-kilogram weight class. Nowry, who won the University World Championships in October, was happy with his ranking but still motivated to do more.
“Moving up to No. 2 is nice,” said Nowry. “My goal is not only to be No. 1 in the country, but in the world.”
