HOUGHTON, Mich. — The Michigan Tech football team jumped into the national rankings this week at No. 22 in the D2Football.com poll. The Huskies, fresh off a 35-10 win over Findlay last Saturday (Sept. 22), are undefeated on the young season at 3-0.
The ranking is the first since last season (Oct. 4) when Tech was No. 21 in the D2Football.com poll with a 4-1 record.
Michigan Tech hosts No. 3-ranked Grand Valley State Saturday (Sept. 29) at 6 p.m. It will be just the second-ever night game to be played at Sherman Field, and Tech hopes to break its home attendance record with the crowd.
Tech and GVSU are two of the five GLIAC teams ranked in the poll. No. 13 Hillsdale, No. 17 Saginaw Valley State and No. 19 Ashland are the others.
