Bell Hospital Names New CEO
Bell Hospital in Ishpeming has named a new CEO after going without one for nearly a year.
Floyd Bounds will take the reins of the hospital next Monday.
Bell officials say Bounds has served as CEO of critical access hospitals across the country and has worked in health care administration for more than 25 years.
Bell Hospital’s previous CEO, Rick Ament, resigned last October.
He left the U.P. for Wisconsin so that he could start his own health care consulting firm, SOS Partners of DePere.
After Ament’s departure, Bell Vice President of Operations Barbara Larson and Chief Financial Officer Gerald Messana shared the duties of the CEO position on an interim basis.
