Houghton Police still looking for suspect

In Houghton, police are still searching for a suspect who tried to force a woman into his vehicle last week. The incident happened at around 1 am on August 28th.

The woman was on Montezuma Avenue when a vehicle with two male occupants stopped and the two men tried to force her into the car.

The woman was able to get away. The car left the scene, heading east on College Avenue. The driver is described as a white male with light facial hair in his 30’s. He was wearing a Detroit Tigers baseball cap, shorts, and sandals.

The passenger in the vehicle also had a Tigers cap on that he was wearing backwards. If you have any information on this incident, contact the Houghton Police at 482–2121.
