Tech soccer picked to finish 8th in GLIAC

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech soccer team was picked eighth out of 14
teams in the GLIAC Preseason Coach’s Poll with 80 points. Grand Valley
State, who has won the last seven GLIAC titles, was picked first with 146
points and 13 first-place votes.
“We have a solid core of returning veterans and an exciting group of
freshmen that are working hard to improve our program,” said head coach
Michelle Jacob. “We have high expectations for the 2012 season and look
forward to an exciting and competitive 2012 GLIAC season.”
Michigan Tech will open the 2012 season at Minnesota-Crookston on Sept. 1.
