Marquette County Summer Tourism
Although the Michigan economy, and the national economy, are still uncertain… That apparently isn’t stopping people from traveling to the central Upper Michigan.
The Marquette Country Convention and Visitors Bureau says the first half of the summer has gone extremely well.
Lake Superior’s warmth has boosted beach traffic.
The model ‘A’ convention, and another event, surpassed expectations.
Pat Black also says that visits to the bureau’s website have increased by 400% since the group bought into the statewide Pure Michigan campaign for the year.
And the unofficial end of summer should be a strong period.
Hotels and motels in Marquette will be near full capacity for Labor Day weekend.
