Name Released in B&E
Police in Marquette County got a break in a breaking and entering case before they even realized the crime had taken place.
The unlikely source was the suspect himself.
Chocolay Township Police arrested Thomas Richer Jr. of Negaunee early Sunday.
According to police, Richer had called Central Dispatch and said he may have been involved in a B&E at the Bayshore Veterinarian Hospital in Harvey.
Officers arrived at the Vet Hospital to find it broken into and heavily vandalized. Richer was seeking treatment at MGH and was highly intoxicated and injured from the B&E.
Officers arrested him at the scene and lodged him at the Marquette County Jail pending authorization of charges.
