MI Democratic Caucus Saturday
And the other major party has a big weekend coming up.
This one isn’t limited to marquette county — it’s taking place across the state.
The Michigan Democratic Caucus is taking place this Saturday.
There are 200 caucus sites statewide.
Marquette County has two sites, the Chocolay Township Hall and the Ishpeming Township Hall.
You don’t have to already be a member of the Democratic Party to vote.
Once registration begins at 9 am at the caucus sites, you need to indicate that you’re participating as a Democrat.
Marquette County Democrats chair Ben Bohnsack says this marks the official start of the process to re-elect President Obama.
If you want to know more about the sites for the Democratic Caucus and who should vote where, the Michigan Democratic Party has all of that information available here.
