NMU Health & Wellness Marketing
Northern Michigan University students are working with other Marquette–area residents to promote healthy living.
‘ACHIEVE’ stands for Action Communities for Health, Innovation and Environmental Change.
The Centers for Disease Control sponsor the program nationally, and Marquette County has an ACHIEVE group.
The group has put a marketing class at NMU to work on advertising and promotion materials around seven health–related subjects.
The promotional campaigns had to cost $20,000 or less.
They involved everything from billboards to T–shirts to newspaper, radio and TV ads to Internet and social media.
The ACHIEVE team has some careful thinking to do.
It now has to select the best presentation and fund a portion of that project.
