Temprary Traffic Light Added to U.S. 41
The major road construction project on U.S.–41 between Marquette and Harvey is adding a new phase.
The work zone between the welcome center and the Carp River has been under way for a couple of weeks, but a temporary traffic signal is now up and running.
Michigan Department of Transportation has been actively working along the stretch of road.
The number of lanes for the rest of the summer will be reduced.
But, a big change for motorists along that route is the traffic light at the Marquette Branch Prison.
MDOT says the project should be finished by mid–fall.
