Slow Time for Food Bank Donations

Several food banks in the U.P. have seen an increase in families in need lately.

And that means they are in need of donations during what’s often a slow season for donations.

The Feeding America Food Bank in Ishpeming has seen an increase in families or individuals who may need a little extra help.

Branch manager Dave Mason says the group has also seen a decrease in donations, which is not uncommon during this time of year.

All donations to the Food Bank stay local to help provide food for those in need in the Marquette County area.
