College Softball team has U.P. Power!

The Alpena Community College Softball team is off to a 6-0 start for the first time in school history. The Lady Lumberjacks can thank a few U.P. natives for being big factors in their undefeated start.

Pitcher Brittany Maki and 2nd baseman Casey Swajanen, both from Superior Central High School, 3rd baseman Lauren Seibert from Marquette High School, and Brianna Grimm, who is one of the teams catchers from Escanaba High School, are all regular contributors to the Lumberjacks team.

Alpena sits on top of the Eastern Division of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA). Alpena will host Delta Community College on Friday.
