Names Released in Gogebic County Drug Bust

Authorities in the western U.P. have released the names of the four people arrested Friday on a total of 16 drug charges.

The four have been identified as 40 year old Joseph Cox, 46 year old Daniel Dunn and two 20 year olds: Cody Thompson-Zwick and Amber Estepp.

The Gogebic–Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT) made the arrests Friday at locations in Ironwood, Ironwood Township and Wakefield.

Police confiscated marijuana, prescription drugs and other evidence.

The four have been arraigned in 98th District Court in Bessemer.

Each of them has at least one felony drug charge, Cox and Dunn also face felony firearms charges.

The four are in custody under bond amounts that range from 10% of $75,000 to 10% of $750,000.

GIANT is made of officers and deputies from the Gogebic and Iron County Sheriff’s Departments, Hurley Police Department and Ironwood Public Safety. The Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post assisted in the arrests.
