Family Clinic in Houghton is Taking Shape
A copper country family clinic is midway through their makeover
The Portage Health–University Center in Houghton opened its doors to the public for the first time this week after extensive renovation and expansion.
The new lobby area, exam rooms, and complete overhaul of the Houghton apothecary are just the beginning.
Phase two of the $4.3 million project should be completed in august.
Renovations will also include doubling the number of exam rooms, procedure rooms, and the overall size of the clinic. And adding three medical providers and ten support staff.
