City of Marquette Sand Clean Up
The snow has melted in most areas of the Upper Peninsula.
But the roads in the city of Marquette are still covered with remnants from winter.
Sand covers many of the sidewalks and roads throughout the city and over the next couple of weeks city crews will be working on removing the piles of the sand from streets and sidewalks.
The city has already begun working to clean up certain parts of the areas, including the downtown and business districts.
Some sand will also be picked up and cleared from the roadside during the Spring brush collection during the week of April 16th.
