Regional Recreation Committee

Marquette City, Marquette Township, Sands Township and Chocolay Township are talking about it.

Residents from all four communities are using recreational facilities in one another, rather than staying in their home community.

Part of this afternoon’s discussion turned to the Heartwood Forestland property.

But most members agreed the group might be getting ahead of itself.

The AD HOC committee will continue with future meetings.

The group is also meeting a land preservation expert from Traverse City next Wednesday at 1 P.M. at the Chocolay Township Hall.
