Duke LifePoint Officials Visit MGH
One day after announcing of the plan to merge Marquette General Health Systems with Duke Lifepoint, the potential future owners of MGH came to town to talk about what they saw in the hospital and the community that made the deal appealing.
One of the biggest goals on the Duke Lifepoint side is to help put a stop to the out–migration of patients.
Since the news broke yesterday people throughout the community have wondered about job security.
All parties involved have reassured the employees that the partnership is about growth and not reduction.
Over the coming days and weeks executives from the Duke Lifepoint group will be meeting with community members and hospital employees.
Their hope is to familiarize themselves with the surrounding area and community and answer any questions about the change
