Middle School Snowshoe Trip
We’ve seen temperatures in the mid–30s during the day, and some local kids got to spend the morning enjoying them.
About 20 sixth-graders and seventh-graders from Negaunee Middle School took a break from the classroom to snowshoe.
They hit one of the trails for a hike of about three and a half miles, leading to the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.
Sixth-grade teacher Michelle Lammi says this was the third time this year they’ve been rewarded for good work in the classroom, specifically a citizenship class.
The snowshoers joined kids from Birchview Elementary School in Ishpeming for lunch before returning to Negaunee.
