Schoolcraft County GOP forum on Saturday

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Gary Glenn will speak at the Schoolcraft County Republican Party’s candidate forum at 7 pm Saturday, January 21st at the Comfort Inn Manistique, located at 726 E. Lakeshore Drive in Manistique.

According to a press release from his office, Glenn’s campaign continues to gather steam on the strength of straw poll wins. He has won four TEA Party-sponsored straw polls, the most recent held by the Clinton County TEA Party on January 11th.

Glenn has been endorsed by former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate and current Fox News host Mike Huckabee, who flew to Michigan on December 15th to join Glenn for a campaign rally in Birch Run attended by hundreds of supporters.

As a county commissioner, Glenn 16 years ago authored the first Health Savings Account-based health care plan for county employees anywhere in America and was invited to testify before Congress.
