Hancock larceny suspect arrested
A Hancock man was arrested over the weekend after a larceny complaint at a popular restaurant.
According to the Hancock Police Department, it happened Friday, 1-06-12, at 11:25 PM at the Waterfront Restaurant & Bar.
Officers were informed that a $100 dollar bill had been stolen from a table inside the bar while the victims were on the dance floor. Witnesses had observed the subject take the money and an employee of the bar followed him out into the parking lot where he was asked him stop. The subject refused to stop and he left the scene driving a burgundy Dodge Ram pickup truck. Witnesses were able to get the license number of the truck.
The victim was identified as a 67 year old male from Rodgers, MN who was staying at the Ramada Inn with his wife.
Officers located the suspect at his residence in Hancock and he was taken into custody. On 1-07-12 Prosecutor Michael Makinen issued a two count warrant charging Keith Brian Justice, age 45, of Hancock with Larceny In A Building – 4 year felony and Larceny Less Than $200.00 – 93 Day Misdemeanor.
