Beating Winter Blahs with Cribbage

If you’re looking for a way to beat the mid–winter blahs, or just to have some fun in the middle of the week, you might try card games.

The Marquette Elks Club is the place, and cribbage is the name of the game.

A regular crowd of several dozen cribbage players pairs up each Wednesday afternoon.

Becky LaValley says the game is fast-past and involves some good strategy to get points.

But don’t think cribbage is just a game of competition to see who can come up with the most fifteen-twos.

Players say it’s a great way to teach math and counting skills to children.
