Major Winter Storm
The blast of winter weather has made a mess of Upper Michigan today.
Blowing snow has affected visibility, creating near-whiteout conditions.
Snow-covered and icy roads have made for dangerous driving.
Moderate to heavy lake effect snow showers are expected to continue this evening.
The cold northwest wind gusts of 30 to 35 miles an hour will cause widespread blowing and drifting of snow.
Total snowfall amounts are expected to range from a couple of inches up to 8 inches.
The heaviest snow will be in central Marquette County.
The winter storm warning remains in effect until 7 pm tonight.
