U.P. Drug Busts
The War on Drugs Continues in the U-P. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team made arrests in four different communities
UPSET arrested four people in connection with delivery of Heroin in the City of Menominee. Two of the people arrested are from the Milwaukee area. The other two arrested are a man and woman from the Menominee area.
In another case, a lengthy investigation by UPSET Detectives in Schoolcraft County has resulted in the arrest of four individuals for Delivery of Marijuana in four separate incidents.
Then in Escanaba it was a prescription pill bust. Detectives witnessed a drug transaction at a home in the area and obtained a search warrant. A search of the house revealed prescription medication being sold. A stolen chain saw was also recovered. Charges are pending with the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office.
A fourth bust was in Ontonagon County, marijuana was located along with a firearm, which the resident was prohibited from possessing.
UPSET Detectives were assisted in these cases by: Menominee City Police, Manistique Public Safety, Escanaba Public Safety Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Department, and Michigan State Troopers from the Ontonagon Detachment.
