Hunting-Related Death in Iron County

A hunting-related fatality has been reported in the U.P.

It happened in northeastern Iron County.

The county Sheriff’s Department says 41-year-old Randy Stroud of Sagola died as a result of a gunshot wound he received today while participating in a ‘deer drive’.

Police are calling it an accidental shooting.

The Sheriff’s Department and conservation officers from the Michigan DNR are investigating the incident.
