First Storm of the Winter
The top story of the day is what everyone talks about but can’t change — the weather.
The message from law enforcement tonight is that if you don’t have to go out, don’t.
An all-day snowstorm is dropping flakes across the U.P., as much as four inches at the ABC 10 studios in Ishpeming.
And it’s expected to just keep coming at us from a storm that’s already dropped several inches in green bay.
National Weather Service meteorologist Megan Babich says we can expect 10 to 12 inches in areas with higher terrain and 2 to 4 inches along the shore of Marquette and Alger Counties.
The storm is expected to taper off tomorrow morning.
A new system is slated to move through for the weekend but won’t bring nearly as much snow.
Babich says you might want to call ahead to any evening events, activities or meetings you were planning to attend, because many of them are being cancelled.
