Marquette County Health Survey
What are the most common health risks involved with living in Marquette County, and what solutions to them would you like to see?
The Marquette County Health Department, Marquette General Health System and Bell Hospital want to know.
They say they’ll use the results of a free, online community survey to plan for the years ahead.
George Sedlacek of the Marquette County Health Department says in order to accurately assess an area’s health needs, health departments and hospitals need to perform surveys like this about every three years, and it’s been three years since the last survey.
The survey is open through the end of November.
There’ll be a public meeting November 9th at Lakeview Arena in Marquette on what the preliminary results say.
Sedlacek says if you have insurance, you probably don’t see availability of health care coverage as a local problem, but it’s likely a very different picture for you if you don’t have insurance, so he’d like to hear from as many people as he can.
Everyone who takes the survey is also entered in a free raffle for a $100 Lake Superior Community Partnership gift certificate.
The survey takes about 10 minutes, and you can check it out here.
