MSU Spartans, Dantonio add to existing contract
Michigan State Athletic Director Mark Hollis has announced that current football coach Mark Dantonio has re-structured contract that will make him a “Spartan for life.”
Within the new deal, Dantonio’s base salary will increase from $618,000 to $650,000. Also, a 2 million dollar contingency clause (meaning if Dantonio is still under contract) has been moved up from 2016 to 2014.
Hollis wants to make Dantonio a “Spartan for life” just like current Men’s Basketball Coach Tom Izzo is. Dantonio is in his 5th season at Michigan State and holds a 37-20 record.
