Boating Accident in Marquette Harbor
It hasn’t been a particularly hazardous day to be out boating, but several boaters need the help of the Coast Guard after an accident on the water off Marquette.
This afternoon on Lake Superior, a 12-foot skiff washed up onto Partridge Island and became stuck.
Nine people were on board, and personnel from Coast Guard Station Marquette were called to the scene to assist them.
Marquette County Search and Rescue transported at least 2 victims to the Coast Guard station.
There’s no word on their condition at this time.
Marquette firefighters and an ambulance from Marquette General were also dispatched to the Coast Guard station for medical assistance.
Coast Guard personnel were unavailable for further comment.
