New NMU Street Signs
Whether you’re looking for a gas station sign or not, you might have noticed the larger, sturdier signs in the Marquette area directing traffic to Northern Michigan University.
The new signs have been up for several weeks.
They direct motorists to NMU’s campus from several major thoroughfares leading into and out of downtown Marquette.
James Thams, associate director of engineering for NMU, says the signs are called trailblazers, and he says they offer the perfect road map to college.
The signs are mainly intended for first-time visitors to campus,
The new signs are part of a wayfinding program that will eventually replace all signs on campus with new directional signs.
