Chartier, Pruett Select Schools for Basketball

Two Upper Peninsula high school basketball players recently decided where they\’ll continue their playing careers.

Superior Central senior, Jordan Chartier has committed to Michigan Tech. He was chosen to the U.P. Dream Team and the Class D player of the year in March. He averaged 18 points a game as a senior, leading the Cougars to the Class D State Semi-Finals.

Mallory Pruett of Ishpeming has decided to attend Alma College. She was a Class ABC first team selection and is the Hematites all-time leading scorer.

Preutt says she plans on majoring in Math.
