“Fight Club” Actor & NMU Alum Visits
A Northern Michigan University grad returns to campus to watch a relative follow in his footsteps.
The Forest Roberts Theatre is staging “Peter Pan” this week.
Michael Wiles appeared in the movies “Fight Club” and “Transformers”.
His niece is an NMU student and is part of the “Peter Pan” cast.
Wiles came to NMU in the mid-’70s to play football and became heavily involved in the theater program while he was here.
He says he has very fond memories not just of NMU productions he took part in, like “West Side Story” and Luigi Pirandello’s “Six Characters in Search of an Author”, but of living in the Marquette area in general.
He’s also made a wide range of TV appearances.
At the moment, he has a recurring role on cable on the AMC series “Breaking Bad”.
The show is getting ready to shoot its fourth season.
Wiles’s character has been part of the show since season 2, and he says a lot of interesting storylines from the third season will be converging and should be an interesting watch.
“Peter Pan” has a matinee performance tomorrow at 1, and then one final performance tomorrow night at 7:30, at the Forest Roberts Theatre.
