MTU Guard Gets Player of the Week Honors

The Michigan Tech Lady Huskies are still in the upper echelon of NCAA Division II women\’s basketball.

One of the Huskies\’ guards is this week\’s GLIAC North Division Player of the Week.
Sophomore Sam Hoyt dropped in 18 points in each of the Huskies\’ wins last week over Northwood and Hillsdale.
Hoyt joins Lucy Dernovsek as Huskies players to receive GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honors this season.
Michigan Tech hits the road for both its games this week — Thursday at GLIAC South Division leader Findlay and Saturday at Wayne State.
