McDowell Campaign Visit to Marquette

As Election Day is just 12 days away, candidates are crisscrossing the region.

Economic development leaders are trying to find out how the candidates would foster the economy while in office.

The Lake Superior Community Partnership hosted Democratic Congressional candidate Gary McDowell this afternoon.

The LSCP has hosted meetings with candidates for a wide range of offices.

It’s asking them all what they would bring to the job if elected.

McDowell says it’s a good opportunity to hear about the central U.P.’s economic picture from people directly involved in it every day.

The LSCP interview was behind closed doors.

Mcdowell is from Rudyard.

He’s a state representative and term limits are keeping him from running for the State House again.

Mcdowell was in Munising later in the afternoon.

He’s heading to Houghton tonight.

Then he has campaign events there, and in Menominee, tomorrow.
