Two Soccer Players Sign with Michigan Tech
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech has recently had two more soccer players sign National Letters of Intent announced head coach Michelle Jacob. The pair joins 12 previous players to sign with the Huskies.
Katie Boardman is a 5-4 forward from Fond du Lac (Wis.) High School. She earned all-conference honors three times in her career including first-team honors as a senior. Boardman also participated in volleyball throughout her high school career earning all-conference honorable mention honors as a junior.
“Katie Boardman is a dangerous forward who plays with a great physical presence and can find a way to get any ball into the back of the net,” said head coach Michelle Jacob. “Her speed and strength are great tools helping her score goals and steal balls from defenders. She is a fierce attacker with a never give up attitude and will make a great addition to our roster.”
Eva Vrana recently concluded a four-year career at Laingsburg (Mich.) High School where she was a two-time all-district selection for the Wolfpack. The 5-5 forward was also a three-year member of the Shiawassee Scholars Program.
“Eva Vrana is a quick player who is not only able to score goals but also makes great passes to create opportunities for her teammates. Vrana had a very successful high school soccer career in Michigan which will be a great stepping stone as she heads to the collegiate level. She is a hard worker with a great attitude and will fit nicely into our upcoming team.”
