Arraignment in John Stamos Extortion Case
The two Marquette residents accused of trying to blackmail actor John Stamos plead not guilty.
Scott Sippola and Allison Coss did that this morning at their arraignment in U.S. District Court in Marquette.
They’re free on bond tonight.
Last month, they were both charged with interstate communication of threat to injure the reputation of another with intent to extort money.
Coss and Sippola are charged in connection with threats 6 months ago against the actor.
Stamos was told that supposedly damaging photos of him would be released to the media unless he paid $680,000.
An undercover operation led to Sippola and Coss being arrested at Sawyer Airport back in December.
The two could each face up to two years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 if they’re convicted.
