Ishpeming Grass Fire

Fire danger is still very high across the area, especially in the central and southern U.P.

Ishpeming got a brief taste of that this afternoon with a grass fire.

It happened on Seventh Street in the city at about 4pm.

Volunteer fire crews were able to put out the small fire before it did any damage to buildings, and no one was hurt.
