Skier Dies in Big Powderhorn Mtn. Accident
A skier dies over the weekend after hitting a tree at one of the ski resorts on the Gogebic Range.
It happened at about 11 Central time yesterday morning at Big Powderhorn Mountain in Bessemer.
The skier was taken to Grand View Health System in Ironwood for treatment but went into cardiac arrest and died.
His name hasn’t been released.
Because it was an accident, police didn’t investigate.
But the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department Victim Services Unit helped out.
