U.P. Job Safety Conference
U.P. professionals from several different fields come together to learn the newest information about staying safe on the job.
Bay College’s MTEC — the Michigan Technical Education Center — hosted more than 100 people in Escanaba for the 10th annual Safety and Workplace Health Conference.
People in the health care, manufacturing, paper products and trucking sectors came from across the U.P. to the conference.
They got to interact with presenters from all over the state.
NewPage employees put on an entertaining safety demonstration, teaching others how to be safe in a confined space.
The company has taken training to a new level by having employees drive their own safety training programs, with their Safety University.
