New York Deli Returning to Marquette
After an absence of more than a year, a Marquette restaurant is back, bringing a taste of the Big Apple to town.
New York Deli is opening up along Washington Street where, until recently, Border Grill Express used to be.
After nearly 15 years in business, the old New York Deli on Front Street closed last year.
The owner and chef of the new place, Scott Sult, spent 9 years at the old New York Deli.
As soon as the old deli closed, he wanted to bring the food back to the area.
Sult says he plans to bring back old favorites like the tomato basil cream soup while adding some new items.
The new deli will have varieties of pasta and sandwiches that the old place didn’t have.
The New York Deli plans to open its doors and drive-through window by the end of the week.
