Chocolay Township Police Taser Training

It’s a busy afternoon for police in Harvey, holding a training session for one of the more common weapons officers use.

The Chocolay Township Police Department has just held its annual taser training.

The team went through a descriptive run-through of the taser, along with an open discussion of any questions officers might have.

Police discussed different situations in which taser weapons should be used, as well as how to go about it.

There was also a session with videos of different incidents where tasers have been used.

Since the Chocolay Township police have had tasers, they say there haven’t been any incidents where they’ve needed to use them.
