Hunting Accident Knocks Out Cable
If you live in Escanaba or Iron Mountain and you have cable, you can blame a hunting accident for wiping out your service 2 days ago.
That’s what Charter Communications officials say was the cause.
It started at about 2:30 that afternoon.
An errant shotgun blast damaged a cable line running between Escanaba and Gwinn.
There was no record of any construction going on nearby, a frequent cause of cable outages.
All service was back up by 10:30 Wednesday night.
