Don't Miss the Deadline to Join the United Way
The deadline to become a member of the United Way of Marquette County is quickly approaching. So if you don’t want your non–profit organization to miss out on valuable funding and other benefits its time to take action. There are many benefits to being a member agency of the United Way including grant funding up to $20,0000, publicity, volunteers and opportunities to network within the community.
Executive Director of Great Lakes Recovery Centers Greg Toutant says “without the funding provided by the United Way the The Recovery Center’s Bridges Program is something that might have never been realized.” You must complete an application process to become a member of the United Way. Currently there are 31 member agencies available to apply for the funding raised during the 2011–2012 campaign. For more information you can call the United Way of Marquette County at 226–8171.
And United Way agencies just like all non–profits are always looking for donations of time or money.
