Hancock Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend
A Hancock woman is being charged with allegedly stabbing her boyfriend.
Police were called to a residence on Birch Street in Hancock at about 2:30 Sunday afternoon, where they arrested 27–year–old Melanie Ann Phillips.
34–year–old Clint Salmi told police that Phillips stabbed him with a knife.
He was taken to Portage Health and released after treatment.
Phillips was charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon without intent to commit murder or inflict great bodily harm.
The judge set bond at $2,500 cash and ordered Phillips to undergo a mental health evaluation.
A preliminary exam was scheduled for January 23rd.
