Mining Journal Cheer Club in Full Swing
The Mining Journal’s annual Christmas gift drive for kids is in full swing.
But the 33rd Annual Cheer Club could use some additional help.
Donations have been coming in steadily.
They’re about on pace with last year’s level. However, that won’t be enough. There are 120 more families that need help this year.
Any family in need that requests items for children is put on the list.
Jim Reevs likes to say the cheer club is a gift to yourself.
There’s no better feeling than the knowledge that you’ve helped someone who might not have had christmas otherwise.
Bell Hospital in ishpeming and range bank in negaunee are among several other cheer club drop–off sites. All of the items are distributed by the Marquette and Ishpeming Salvation Armies.
