Levack Preliminary Exam

It was after 8 pm last night Central time before court was adjourned in a preliminary exam for a man accused of an Iron County murder.

The Iron County District Court made findings of fact Wednesday and determined there was probable cause to bind 44-year-old David Levack of Kingsford over to Circuit Court on all charges.

Levack is charged with open murder, first-degree home invasion and witness intimidation.

He will be arraigned in Circuit Court on December 19th.

Levack is charged in the death of 81–year–old Joyce Johnson of Stambaugh.

She was found dead at her home in September on the day she was to testify against Levack in a home invasion trial.

Levack faces life in prison if he’s convicted of his two homicide charges, a 20–year sentence for home invasion and 15 years for witness.
